Using a bunch of rewritten articles

The point of this post is only to share ideas, just telling about an idea I just got and will put into practice.

Alright so I created an article directory about a month ago, it runs with articleMS and is fed by articlemarketer, which is sending a bunch of articles everyday. I've just checked my database, right now I have exactly 75462 articles. I haven't made any seo to rank it, google only indexed the main page, and the site gets approximately 30 visits per day.
I'm well aware that my directory only contains duplicate content, and I don't want to struggle to rank it.

But here is an idea : I will extract every title and articles from the database, and automatically rewrite them all. I know the resulting articles won't really be quality content, but it will be unique content. (And I won't bother to manually proofread 75k articles ^^)
To do so I'm thinking about a quite easy way : using google's translation tool. Basically I will just have the articles translated from english to an other language, and the result translated back to english. (I can also keep the foreign languages versions, some say that there is a lot to with content in other languages)

Then I'll have a database of 75k unique articles. With it I will create an new article directory that will only be fed with it, I think I'll feed like one or two hundreds articles per day. Maybe with all this unique content google will be more eager to index it, we'll see...

I will also create automated blogs with this. I've tried to create a few with the original articles, posting one per day and per blog. Google indexed them really fast, but also deindexed them a few days later. With unique content this may work better.
I'm basically using blogger blogs for this, and use the mail to blog function to feed them. I have a php script with a cron job getting one article from the DB and sending an email to post it to the blog everyday.

I have good knowledges of php, that's how I will automate all of the boring work in this process.
This is meant to create traffic, that will then be converted with adsense, cpa, cookie stuffing, lead generating or anything else depending on the ideas I get.

I'll tell you how it goes within the nexts weeks.

I hope this may give some of you some inspiration, and you're welcome to ask questions, give feedbacks and other ideas that may improve the concept

if you translate an english article to french (example) then back to english, how is that going to be unique, wont it just be duplicate content in googles eyes all over again?

Translators usually change the content a bit to get it right in another language. If its then translated back to english it probably wont make much sense but it will have changed a little.

Exactly, if you translate something with this kind of tools, the result already contains some variations and some non sense (I speak 4 different languages, believe me I can tell) and when you translate it back to english, the same thing happens again, it doesn't go back to the original. So usually it doesn't always make much sense, but you can be sure it is unique. (Anyway it makes more sense than crappy content generated with markov chains or whatever)
Just go to google language tool and give it a try, it won't take you more than 30 second to figure out

I translate to russian, then back to english. Take that to spanish, then back to english for the final article. Mix and match, but some of it can be sometimes unreadable

so the goal is to create unique, but junk content....

You're doing what we all should be doing (those of us who are stuck)... Taking an idea and running with it! Weekly updates would be nice about how much traffic you get and stuff.

nice idea Zak_A. I just found something that might come handy with the auto blog that you are planning to make. I just found this free mailing service its indiatimes.com . It allows you to send post dated mails. So you can just compose and save the mail for the whole month and it will send one mail per day.

zak are you going to translate 75k articles one by one via gooogle translate?or is there anyway to automate it?

automators are not there for this as far as i know , thats why people still do it manual...rewriters are there but they are far less quality compared to google...i am waiting to know if this works , if yes , then i have more than 200k articles in 100+ niches...
