Useful method to check the referrer

If you have set up some sort of redirection to hide or fake the referrer for your affiliate-company, you can use this website to test if the redirection works:

http://www.whatismyreferrer.com

In order to use this properly, you have to do the following:

- in your redirection-script: replace your affiliatelink with http://www.whatismyreferrer.com

- then go to the url on which your redirection-script is installed

- of course you will be redirected to whatismyreferrer.com, but there you will see what the referrer is, thus you can check if you have set up your redirection as it should be.

- after testing, don't forget to replace your affiliate link back in the redirection-script
