USED GSA on my site and rankings dropped - PLEASE help, why ?

Relax man :) When my links were indexed my ranking sank 20 positions and then gained 62 :bed3:

Easy to say relax, when my site for the past 2 weeks is down in rankings. I'll try :)

All the links you made are no good. The problem is, Google can disavow or penalize bad links. You should try buying links from credible newspaper sites. I know I've seen a moderator who sells links in newspaper sites in BST.

GSA builds low quality backlinks that Google doesn't care about, hence you don't get any power for your website. Even worse as in your case, Google decided to get your website down in rankings.

@kimi exactly. I tried to adjust GSA for high quality links but it did not work for me. I believe I did everything right. Lots of duplicate links! And mostly crap. I am not a believer in GSA. I quit using it months ago.

False, links made from GSA are good, as long as you use good, unique content that doesn't look spammy. Also, make sure your link velocity is relatively the same each day you use GSA.

OP how's your rankings now? I'm curious to know. As I'm about to use GSA directly to a penguin hit site since it won't budge at all.

Seems like you did everything right but why use directories? They're practically worthless in terms of juice.

I recommend just using GSA links as tier 2 links or set the required PR of page to be over 2 and OBL less than 5. Don't you dare check off guest book links because they are cancerous.

Should stop freaking out, and build more sites. By the time you are done freaking out, you could have build 10 more sites...Good luck!

@charlie3 wrong. As I mentioned I did everything correct and I still got crappy links that did more harm than good. I do not buy into all the hype. IMHO GSA is still in beta!

The links can be the culprit 9 times out of 10. Scrape your own sources and test those links on a fresh domain then come back with the results.
