I am starting up a Cash for used phone business, and have a way to get my hands on 5+ devices per day.

I am looking for buyers to buy the phones that I get, mostly will deal with iPhones, but if there is a market for blackberries/androids etc I can get those as well.

If you are interested in buying used phones let me know either through PM or through Skype at JAllen12132

Also, I am experienced with refurbishing the phones myself if you do not wish to deal with broken devices then just let me know.

Thanks

Hi Mate, please give an idea of price and models of the used iphones

Everyone please contact me through PM or Skype...

I am not in Canada, however, shipping to Canada should not really be an issue.

Phones will be on a phone by phone basis, because I buy the phones locally and will be moving them on from there. Let me know what you would be interested in paying per phone.

So far highest offers are as follows for specific model phones, so if you are willing to offer more on a certain model then definitely contact me and I will be more than glad to work with you.

$280 - iPhone 4 16gb for Verizon or ATT
$110 - 16gb iPhone 3GS
$90 - 8gb iPhone 3GS
$80 - 16gb iPhone 3G
$50 - 8gb iPhone 3G

Once again, if you are interested in these phones and can offer more than these prices please inform me and we can work out the details.

These prices reflect phones that are 100% functional.

Do you also carry phones that are not functional? I could use them for parts

I can get them, shoot me a message on Skype

Why not just set-up an eBay site, take a couple good photos and let the phones sell themselves? Sounds like you want to wholesale them. 5+ a day isn't a wholesale quantity, but it is a reasonable number for an eBay business. I've bought a few phones on eBay.

1) Does it work?
2) Is is clean?
3) Is it stolen?
4) What percentage of retail price is the used phone to a new phone?
5) Seller rating?
6) Returns policy?

Make sure to Master Reset the phone (I had the contact details of everyone some cowboy ever dated, once. and the ring tone "She thinks mah tractor's SEXY! It really turns her ON!" Friends thought that one was a hoot when I would get calls. Not a big deal, but unprofessional.

Give the customer the option of buying a brand-new battery with their used phone, and sell it at a premium.

Set-up a separate website that parallels and mirrors your business and make sure that if someone google's your eBay store "cheapusedphones" they will find your website on page one. Some people use eBay to assess a Seller's reputation and inform themselves of the business, but would prefer to do business with them directly. Make CERTAIN to have an email address that gets answered within an hour and a phone that's "live" during the day so that people (like me) that are willing to pay a premium to get what they want 1) safely 2) reliably 3) quickly can do so.

In fact, if I were to ever set up an eBay business, the primary purpose of that site would be to funnel business to my website, avoid the fees and have direct, 1 to 1 communication with my Buyers.

Finally, never, ever, ever, ever, ever X 10 ^27 (times 10 to the 27th power) ever use USPS for shipping. Never do it. And if you ever even have a stray & random thought about using USPS to ship your product, slap yourself HARD in the face with a metal spatula. I ordered parts for some laptops and the Vendor sent them "cheap" via USPS and it took me over a week and 2 trips to the post office to get my package.

Shipping via USPS is actually what shut down my business the first time I did it.. I shipped out approximately 25 phones internationally all of which claimed they didn't receive them approximately a month later, and I had to eat the cost (my fault for not using insurance.)

So perhaps I will set up a new eBay account and give that a try again. Thanks for the suggestion!

If you set up an ebay account and start selling used, but in great conditions, Blackberry 9800 let me know. My price for each will range from $140-$180. Depending on their conditions and accessories. Thanks

Where are you based?
Are you selling and shipping worldwide?
Would you do it on a dropship basis?
Would you be willing to use an escrow service?
Do the phones come with basic accessories like charger & cable?

I like the idea the more I think about it. Might do it myself. How do you get your phones?

Your prices are good for all the older ones BUT I can get 4 (not 4s) for around $200 all day long on Craigslist ($250 tops if you're desperate). Your price on the 3G and 3gs' are good though, but the market is weaker on them.

you know it is only a couple of bucks to get insurance and like 50 cents for the tracking number on the package (witch I've always provide to the customer) why take a chance? if its to much cost then just add to the auction and put in a disclaimer that if they do not purchase the insurance and the tracking number you are not responsible.
