If you use yoast seo plugin it might be worth checking if it has auto updated, if it has , chances are you have lost your meta description. It seems yoast is now forcing people to the premium (paid version) of the plugin by removing the meta description from the free plug in. This likely to play havock with your rankings if you use and the plug in has updated to the latest version. I didn't see a thread about this so thought I would give everyone a heads up because sites will lose rankings etc and it could well be the reason why.

I'm not having any issues with the meta description of any of my sites running Yoast (free version) either in the site itself or in the SERPs. I did notice that the plugin now updates in real time, which is a bonus.

I just checked a few of my sites and Yoast is working perfectly fine. It may look a bit different from what it used to be the functionality to input custom meta descriptions is still there. My old meta descriptions are still showing in Scroogle and within the plugin.

Your meta will take a few days to change depending how frequently your site is crawled, it's causing huge issues for alot of people. Head over the plug in page at wordpress.org for some of the comments.
If it's working for you, great, but I'd keep an eye out.

No issue on my sites.... Though they have changes the view and some other things

I got an email from them this morning and I believe they may have now patched this bug.....

They did't remove it, they just removed the "SEO Title" and "Meta Description" fields you were used to use.
It is now all done through "Snippet Editor"; click directly on the title or description to change it.

Look at Alieve's screenshot #5

Edit:
Though it's a bad change in layout IMO.

All in One SEO Pack is more stable, Yoast SEO has lost my respect the last months with these crappy updates, really is trying to do all they can to lose fans.

I agree. I switched all my sites to All In One SEO. My meta disappeared as well but luckily I caught it right away
