Hi!
I just opened offshore domain and hosting.
I want to send arround 70K emails from my SMTP server... Any better suggestions for not getting into the spam folder?

I have an AWS SES 100,000k limit so I can use that, but I want to avoid being sued... or it safe anyway?

If you do your diligence with your mailing list, and send an adequate email with all the right elements, it won't cause much harm if you go the SES way.
With your SMTP server, it may get your IP banned if you do it wrong. If it's not a great deal, then go for it. Generally this things are done through a hired server with the random IP they offer and the proper skill to make things happen.
70K is not a lot, but is not a couple either. Enough to ban you for sure.

I am telling you right now, the spam folder is waiting for your emails. Is your IP server warmed up, is the inbox you sending from properly warmed up. Check Google Postmate for your sender's reputation.

It's a bad idea to send all 70k at once as that will get your IP blacklisted fairly quickly. You should use a better solution that supports multiple IP rotation to avoid getting blacklisted.

Also it is important to clean your email list if you haven't already done so, to avoid too many bounces that may inadvertently land you in ESP's hot water. Pay attention to these small details. They matter alot.

What content are you sending with your emails? I'm guessing even if you manage to send all 70k email, majority of them would probably end up in spam box...

I Strongly Advise Against Using Your Personal Email SMTP for 70k Emails
  • IP Reputation Damage: Your IP address will likely be blacklisted due to the high volume of emails, affecting future email deliverability.
  • Email Deliverability Issues: Most emails will end up in spam folders or blocked entirely.
  • Service Disruption: Your email service might block your account for suspicious activity.
  • Legal and Privacy Concerns: Depending on the content and recipients, you might face legal issues related to spam, data privacy, and unsolicited emails.
