Ok guys for those who dont know this is a simple file server technique

1 : sign up for a hotmail account

2 : procede as if you where sending an email

3 : upload the file as an attachment, this stays on the microsoft server, and save mail as draft.

4 : give your friend the email address and password and they can go and download the file from there.

What's the point in using their server as mail server. Upload file directly to rapidshare. You don't need to give any usernames and passwords

just think about it a little more you can leave files there forever, rapidshare tends to expire or links are deleted.

Thanks for the great suggestion, Antx16.

I also know that you can use 'gmail' as a virtual storage.
The good thing about it, is that you can actually place an icon on desktop and 'drag-and-drop' the files directly to it. (save time from saving it as draft etc.)

I never tried it myself, but seen one of my buddy doing it. So for those who are interested, may as well give it a shot as well :)

** Please note that gmail is a little more risky these days, as they disable accounts more often **

I do this on yahoo when I want to transfer stuff from computer to computer. Good share!

Gmail plugged the hole already, was waiting for an update to the software but guess its not possible.
