Use 301 for my website

Hi guys, I just wanna ask one question: One domain with high authority(which has lots of high-quality links), but the topic is not related to my website. If I do 301 to my site, what will happen in the next few months?

Anyone has tried that or suggestion? Thank you!

301 redirect is fine when you do it with a niche relevant domain. It shall transfer DA, PA, link juice and even ranking to a large extent.

So how about the authority, but not niche relevant site?

Even though it has good authority, when 301 redirect is made, complete history is considered by Google while transferring all the authority, ranking, link juice, etc. And since history is non niche relevant, then your site will attract penalty. This is a very wrong and dangerous approach.
