USA TODAY Newspaper AD JV??

Hey, anybody who took part in this: I'd love to hear the results. And count me in for the next run. I gotta payday loan offer that pays $50 per signup...only 7 to break even, which is like a 0.00028% conversion rate with 2.5 million readers.

You'll never know untill you test.
After that you can scale it up if it turns a profit.

Run it everyday, make it bold etc etc...

there are a few differences, I have used both, and can explain some items of interest.
for me this was important :

A)regional targeting opportunities

I was able to promote depending on Geo-ip location some high paying CPM offers and CPA ad's. on top of that I had google AdSense hitting me with some extra cash.

b) Advertising box size.
USA has everything in a rather narrow column format
I like the wide format.

Stuff that you need to look at :
the demographics are really interesting, if you are targeting older people ( 55+), then it will to your advantage.

USA today is a travelers / and commuting paper. I don't know of anyone that gets it at home during the week.

That's not that big of a difference. It's $1,400 for 14M and $350 for 3.6M. The cost for the National ad ends up being $0.0001 per view while the USA Today ad only ends up being $0.000102 per view which is only 0.000002 difference.hat means your paying about $7.20 more per 3.6 million in USA Today than the other. Not that big of a difference.

If it was me I would run different offers depending on the demographics. As billygood said, you definitely will want to check that out. Also, if possible, you will want to get a space depending on price. Space ads will always get a higher ROI than a classified ad.

If you can...try to swipe a successful space ad. I would also recommend a book called "The Rich Ad Freak". Just google it and it will come up. I did buy it a long time ago and will post it here if I can find it...if not I'm sure someone here will get it for you.

GOOD LUCK!!!
