Never thought I'd see a brit win a tennis grand slam. I'm shocked!!!! Anyone else surprised or just me?

I'm not surprised. He played well and deserved it. He won the Olympics too. Good year for him. I predict he'll win another major next year. He won't be a serious contender for many years to come but I think this is his window. We could all use 15 minutes of fame, hey? LOL

Andy Murray ended Britain's 76-year wait for a male Grand Slam singles champion with an epic victory over Novak Djokovic in the US Open final.

The Scot finally emulated Fred Perry's 1936 achievement, winning 7-6 (12-10) 7-5 2-6 3-6 6-2 in four hours 54 minutes on Arthur Ashe Stadium.
