Ok so obviously I'm new here. I have been reading and working and reading and working. I have about 7 hours a day that I can spend on IM, and on some days more.
Got my site done, etc etc etc

I did a little seo work. Then began tracking some keywords with the free service option of proranktracker. I got a report about a week ago and finally one of my
keywords was ranked 59. Woo Hoo, I was so excited - hey it was a start, right?

Each day after that the ranking was a little better. Last nights report , the keyword was ranked 49. I would double check this with my own search of the word . Sure enough my site would
be there. Today - it has disappeared. I mean damn, that quick? I mean my little bitty site and my one keyword???? Wow - it's tough out here.

I waited for my report tonight to make sure and there it was - back to a big N/A.

I know this is part of it and worse has happened to most of you guys, but i just wanted to vent my frustrations.

Ok - back to work - I will NOT give up!!!!

...I will come back WITH my shield , or ON it

-300 Hundred

Always a pleasure to see someone taking action and seeing results. Good to go OP.

Keep trying and you'll succeed. That's what many beginners fail to do and that's why they never make any money online. What you experienced is the dreaded 'sandbox'. Your site will eventually come out of it. Sometimes it comes out and goes back in. Keep working regardless of what happens.

Ok, thank you, I read about that sandbox thing!!! Ok, I will definitely keep working.

It might be a google dance. Anyway, keep working on it, you'll fail a lot of times before achieving success. Hell, I'm still failing a lot :) But it keeps getting better and better.

Keywords are known to bounce between ranking and N/A for a fairly new website that's being worked on in terms of off page SEO. Keep track of it every day and you'll most likely see it back in the rankings and then gone again a few times before it stabilizes.

tony_ds signature says it all. It is about the time put in and how consistent you are.
