URL shortners and affiliate links

Hi all,

I want to send my affiliate link out via twitter and FB, however, limited for characters, can I use an URL shortner? Will that work? Sorry for the dumb question, this is not my area of speciality.

Also, if you use URL shortners, do they carry link juice when used as backlinks? Curious, I won't explain why I want to squeeze as many links in an area as possible, just wondering.

Whether they carry link juice i am not certain on that myself, but as for affiliate links, most programs do work with the google url shortener and bit ly

OK, thanks, I shall do a few tests with goo.gl etc and see if the sign up process works.

If it's forwarding to a URL that has parameters, then I can't see why it wouldn't work.
