URL Shortener Recommendations

Hi guys,

Going to cut to the point.

I have been using tinyURL to spam a site with a custom bot for months now. Worked great as their links are comparatively bulletproof usually.

Now i need to change up the shortener as the footprint is too large with the volume i create. Tiny URL is all i have ever used and as such i feel a bit foolish asking this!

Can anyone recommend me one of the big shorteners (goo.gl / bit.ly etc etc) that meets the following criteria?
- Links dont get taken down often (important)
- Wont be flagged for creating thosuands to one domain (although over hundreds of IP's)
- Can be made without creating an account (or with an api)
- Wont steal amazon cookies

Also before it gets mentioned i cant use a self hosted one or a smaller one as it's far too big of a footprint.

The problem with one of the "big" URL shortners is that because they are popular, they're more than likely going to be taken down because you and a million other affiliates are spamming those links. If I had to choose one of them though, I would choose bitly since I've noticed they're not reported as often (at least not on Facebook). Goo.gl will detect the affiliate links, so it's best not to use them. Besides, using Google services with black hat SEO is silly.

why not get your own URL shortener domain?

The big boys carry the most authority though. So while they go away they are still the best. Why not just keep track of those you lose and slowly replace them?

They aren't valuable because they are short URLs, they are valuable because they are essentially 301's. So you could just do some 301's, except for the fact that the extreme authority of the ones like goo.gl is what makes them appealing. So it's a flip.

Yeah OP, you can create an account with most URL shorteners like Adfly and keep track of the links that way.

I use a multi shortener tool then spam the fuck out the 300 and odd links it makes.

You can try this new URL shortner I came across it's called ydo,us (why do us) lol catchy too. The thing with these guys they offering free premium accounts for custom ad displays due to them being relatively new. Also Geotargeting & password protected links with custom API etc. Give it a try
