URL shortener 301 redirect trick

You probably heard about 301 redirects and their use in SEO, here is a really nice way of getting them without buying an expired domain. Go to your favorite link shortening service (for example bit.ly has a PA of 94) and shorten your money site or your tier 1 links. Repeat this 20-30x and then build links to the shortened URLs (PBN, SAPE, spam, anything) + add some social signals to them.

I tested this several times and always got great results, in the end my shortened URLs had something like PA94, DA50, TF30 and CF50 - these are really powerful "links", use them carefully because you might get penalized..

I have used this trick before but the results are not so good for me. I think it doesn't work on all sites.

Except this can be used to rank a money site. But exactly the same principle. Good idea to get people to read up on Parasites to learn this technique!

I would like to add, this is GREAT for 2.0 powering up. The extra layer of protection passes a LOT of link juice.
 
This is a terrible Idea and a complete waste of time. but by all means....
 
I wouldn't use it on Money site. powering up your tier 1 esp. web2.0 is what it should be used.
 
this method is origionally discovered here in this forum mem & all website copied it.
But i dont know what i'm doing wrong, it's not working for me
 
The principle is pretty much the same as Parasites. Read up on them to figure this out. (Great idea to compare them, brilliant Bart!).

Essentially it works this way:

1. Build Shortener as a Tier Two link.
2. Build links to the Shortener.
3. The shortener, if Do - Follow, passes a good chunk of the juice.
4. The shortener ALSO carrier authority of the Root Domain, adding the fancy metrics like TF/CF/PA/DA
5. Most people find that with enough tier three, the Shortener adds a lot of *Oomph*.
6. Rinse and Repeat and watch the stat's of your Web 2.0 / Public Blog Network / Profile links Skyrocket.

You essentially are just adding more 'power' and 'authority' to the Web 2.0 without the risk of it being taken down due to spam. It is a neat trick for those who LOVE automation and spam.

not sure why did he say that, but i can think of one possible reason without debating how useful it is or not, bit.ly is a 3rd party url shortener, you have no actual control over it, tomorrow they can decide to close shop - highly unlikely - so you might be building what you're building for nothing
 
So, let's say I make shortened urls for every page of my website using every single one of those redirects.
I order a service from here for each link. What kind of anchor text should I be using?
 
Treat it just as you would treat a tier one property.

If you shorten the money site, the shortener becomes your tier one.

First one is what i would choose :)
 
Depends on your back link portfolio.

I am currently doing:

> Web 2.0 > Money Site
> Money Site
> Profile > Moneysite

If my PBN need's links, I did not get a good enough PBN site.

Some of my sites have a LOT of BLs. Others do not. You can go a little darker with established sites and not raise an eyebrow. So a couple 301's which I build links to and ALSO share on Social Media looks natural. No big deal.

If you have a new site with 10 links from a PBN and put a 301 to it and only fire up GSA, it may raise an eyebrow.

Use common sense with your site. When in doubt, use a buffer 2.0.
