    Lets say the nice im targeting is: "Target Niche".

    monthly searches are:

    target niche = 3000
    target niche something = 5000
    target niche somethingelse = 5000
    target niche somethingelseelse = 5000

    Assuming "targetniche.com" is available, should I buy that and have the other 3 keywords as sub-pages?

    or is it more effective to buy:

    "targetnichesomething.com" to rank for those specific keywords ;
    "targetnichesomethingelse.com" for those specific keywords ETC ETC?

    Im just not sure if 'shorter URL is better URL' is correct in this case or would the search engines give extra credit for having the EXACT URL rather than using a sub-page.

    Thoughts?

    Hello,

    It does not matter for search engine if the Url is small or large, they check all aspect ratio's and list them on the type.

    Like backlinks, pagerank,linkjuice etc. Hope it is clear for you.

    I would suggest small name which will be easy for the returning user to remember rather than the bigger one.

    I would buy all that are available and linkbuild each one for a different keyword. Get a few high quality links and you're all set.
