Hey guys, I used godaddy to purchase my domain. They have temporarily suspended my domain for spam abuse.

My website of course is on Clickbank and is just starting to get sales. How the hell am i supposed to keep affiliates from spamming to the point I can keep a domain?

I can't imagine how the top Clickbank products do it when I know they are getting 10 times the traffic and affiliates than me!

What is my solution here!??? Please help anybody with experience in this!

    Thanks in advance.

    Are you hosted on godaddy?
I've not heard of a domain being suspended for spam (although you could fill a book with things I don't know ;) )

I really don't like godaddy (although I know a lot of people here do), their hosting is terrible - if it's just a hosting problem, then move your hosting elsewhere quickly - problem solved...

If your domain is actually suspended - you would want to change registrars asap (might want to anyway)

    Dont host with Godaddy.

Too much crap from them. They have started all this "policing" thing going. Spam is a broad definition. And my point is anybody can call anything they dont like on net spam.

So Godaddy is suspending anything they dont like.

You will not have much problems with other companies. Try NameCheap or MidPhase and you will be fine!

Yeah, I have been searching all day now and all I can find is bad reviews on godaddy and many people with the same problem as me.

@agente I only use them for domain not hosting. I am changing registrar to namecheap.com right now. i read some good reviews of them!

    I am officially anti-godaddy!!

Dont ever purchase your domain and host with the same company, because the company can then take your domain and suspend your hosting company.... if you have a hosting plan with one company and buy your domain from another , and you are ever accused of spam, your hosting company will only suspend your account and you can always move to a new host with the same domain name that you worked so hard on getting traffic too.

Wouldn't this just end up as a way to take down your competitors? (if they are registered with godaddy)
Send a ton of non-converting spam with their domain name and *poof* you wipe them out (for a bit anyway)

(I personally have an enom account and it's been great...)

Yes, from what I read, namecheap.com is by enom! So that sounds like I have made a good choice. I am still waiting on godaddy to give me my domain back and I am going to transfer out.

GoDaddy sucks donkey balls. Never use them for hosting or domain names, ever.

GoDaddy sucks. Get rid of GoDaddy and do not use them for anything. Transfer your domain to NameCheap and get hosting through HostGator or somewhere else.

well, I just looked it up - I didn't know that namecheap was a reseller of enom...

If you are interested, I can set you up with an enom reseller account, and your prices would be cheaper than namecheap...
the only downside is that you have to add $ to the enom account to fund it ($100 min) - PM me if you want to know more...

godaddy sucks. I use 1and1, which also sucks, but less that GD.

Actually, 1and1 is worse than GoDaddy. Most serious domainers will not buy a domain that is registered with 1and1 due to the hassles 1and1 gives their customers.

I used internet.bs. It is cheap, .com cost only 6.95, with free domain privacy protection thrown in. Their support is not bad too.
