Urgent question about amazon

Hi guys i would really appreciate if someone could clear this up for me.

If I sell something on amazon will I not receive the payment for it until after the product has been shipped/delivered?

This is really important to me because I am trying to sell aliexpress products on amazon, but I need the money first in order to purchase the product on aliexpress.

Money gets credited to your seller account after shipping.

You get paid by Amazon every 15 days.

You will receive money in your seller account once your ship product and update shipping details.

You will receive money from seller account to your bank account once every 15 days.

So you can not do what you plan to do.

You have to buy it with your own money from AliExpress as you will get payments from amazon every 15 days only.

Trust me, you do not want to go that route if you are planning on using Epacket or standard shipping from China.

Can you explain why not please?

I'm assuming its because amazon won't like those long shipping times and can identify me as a dropshipper and shutdown my account. But i've seen amazon accounts that blatantly dropship from China

I feel like the other alternative is ebay but that seems like an absolute mess too with paypal

I guess shopify is my only option

I've never tried to dropship on Amazon directly coming from Aliexpress so i'm not sure what Amazon likes or doesn't like, or how they will react. But, the main reason is shipping time, yeah.

I think people are so used to Amazon and fast shipping that I'm not sure how long they are willing to wait. I mean you might run into a complainer or two.

You can try and see how it goes though. I have seen FBM listings where the item is located in China. But the majority of stuff I see from Aliexpress are FBA items.

Amazon is gold though. I've had people still order items that are not even in stock yet.

yea long shipping times means orders cancelation not a good idea

Do you know how much this is regulated? Will my account get shut down instantly if I dropship?

The risk is the same. But to create your own listing you will need to purchase a GS1 barcode(s). Every variation of the item will need a barcode.

A barcode is needed even if I dont use FBA? If so then it would be impossible to dropship... right?

Do you have any knowledge on Ebay? Is it not even worth trying that route because of their reputation to limit and shutdown paypal accounts?

You have two options when it comes to listing an item. You can either add your item to a product that already has a listing-- or if you want to create your own listing your product is going to need a UPC code.

Amazon does not have every single item in the world listed on there, so it is possible to find an item with a barcode already and list it on there. But items from Aliexpress most likely won't have a UPC unless someone has bought one for it and is selling it on there.

You don't need a barcode if you are just adding your product to a listing that is already on Amazon, no. In your seller account go to "add item" and search for the item you want to dropship and see if there is a listing.

If someone is dropshipping an item from Aliexpress, that person has probably already bought a barcode and you could probably leech off of that listing and add your item if they do not have it restricted.

I sell on Ebay, yeah, but I'm not dropshipping from China on there. I been in the game too long to deal with getting banned and creating new accounts, etc. I have no time for that anymore.

Right now, majority of sellers on aliexpress are not responsive and there is a lot of delay in delivery of items. Dropshipping because of COVID is a pain in the arse.
