Uranked on keywords which i work on

Hello,

I tried working on a few Local SEO keywords, with creating web 2.0 websites. I filled the websites with unique articles(90% according to advego). 2 articles with 2 links.
All website were manual created (10 websites)
I posted articles on few other websites.
The keywords were on 8-9 page, they went to page 4, and after a few days, the disappeared from the search...(they went to 20-30+ page)

What happened? Everything is manually created? How should I proceed?
There was a few weeks a google updated, could it be something?
Does someone knows when the next google update will go?

Should I continue to add unique articles with 1-2 links in these blogs?

Any kind of help would be great.

Check your on-page optimization such as meta tags, title tag, schema etc. if you don't already have webmaster tools installed do so, check to see if there is any kind of penalty or recommendation such as page load speed there's a million things it could be. Google has been updating I noticed the 3 pack is sometimes showing A, B, C again and I have noticed my reports give different results daily depending on when they ran but it seems to be stabilizing what the update changed not completely sure yet but have a sneaking suspicion it's based on fake listings and spam.

I'm in a similar spot at one of my niches. Wisdom would be appreciated ...

So many variables could be a penalty but it all depends on the authority of where your posting etc..
