Hi all

I am outside of the US ; when i opened an upwork account ; i needed to pay upwork administration fees to acctivate my freelance account ; they told me to pay by paypal

my question : can i open a paypal account .

I didn't know you have to pay Upwork now to activate your account. Been freelancing there for almost 4 years now.

I meant paying fees to have monthly freelancers membership .

And how to be paid by my client ; do i have to open a paypal account

I have a problem ; when i submit a job's proposal ; they say to me that i must have connects to be able to apply for this job ; and also i must pay the monthly freelancer plus membership.

I do not know what to do .

Check your membership status to see how many connects you have left. You have to open a paypal account to be able to withdraw the funds you get from your clients. They also accept Skrill and other payment methods.

Of course you can setup a Paypal account providing your country is listed as those allowed in Paypal's region. How are you planning to have Upwork pay out?

You can pay upwork freelancer fees with debit or credit card too. I have opened one for my sister few days back and paid via card. I am also not from US.

I have another problem , i want to open a paypal account , i am not a us citizen , i do not know if i should open a personal or a commercial paypal account , because i want to work as a freelancer in upword .
