out of topic but congrats on executive vip hahaIf you wish to choose one, I would recommend BHW any day. I personally provide services on freelancer.com and BHW and in my experience, the quality of clients on BHW is much better. But again, like @interlogy pointed out, you can always try to offer your services on both platforms.![]()
What's wrong with trying both? )Should I offer a Virtual assistance service here on bhw or Upwork?
This will be one of the cheapest services ever, I have put together a team of 6 good individuals in their field.
Honestly, the other way around - considering freelancing here and only getting vague 'yes, join the blue!' stuff from jr VIPs, I'd like to get some reviews of the platform (bhw) itself from freelancers, what kind of leads can I expect, etc. Pricing is good, it's very cheap in comparison to buying Google Ads or idk DesignRush (they have expensive retainers + you're buying the equivalent of Upwork connects too huh). Idk about what people charge here, seen some crazy cheap stuff that I wouldn't bother to do for that cheap and fuck it and party instead, but at the same time seen some proxy folks do great, seen Ahrefs owner had a backlink selling thread before he got banned (so if someone that influencial had a thread he must have liked what he was getting here), I see @splishsplash 's pbn thread plastered over whole site. Maybe a bad example cuz scammer *cough* but Sartre flexed expensive car at us, if he was able to scam that much that means there's money here for legit sellers too. But at the same time I see these cheapish 'I'll hire an VA for some funny miniature money' threads. I know part of what I'm talking about is more about market research and finding what to sell or not but hell, can't get any info from current sellers other than some vague statements. 'Yes, it's good', 'the traffic is better than Upwork' (for god's sake, everything is better than Upwork at this point) is a relative thing, good client for one person is client from hell to someone with higher standards. I don't want to troll and I appreciate staff's hard work and the fact that other members also share useful learning materials, but I wish there was some reviews section of the platform itself. Any info idk, like, what geos I can expect, average spending power per member idk xD. Like, ANY info at all other than 'yeah, become blue now!' *shrugs*. End of rant. The problem with BHW is that the background check of the freelancer for the hiring party is very limited.
BHW advantage is that there is a massive amount of knowledge here which drives here all kind of folks, which is good. But when it comes to quality of the "partners" it kinda sucks - too much of the wannabe personas, also scammers ofc.
If they (BHW) would add a feature/section with at least some basic stuff to make the hiring decision easier I wouldn't hesitate to use it primarely for hiring.
So my answer is both, on BHW its definitely easier to market yourself, stand out from the crowd, target a niche. But for transparency I would also love to see your profile, reviews, track of record etc.on Upwork or similar.
