I used to use the site a lot about 8 years ago. I was there when it was still oDesk and went through the merger with whatever other company they merged with. For a while it was good, though. It was easy to find work and apply, then get jobs. Nowadays, it's a ton of scammers for jobs. They're literally posting fake jobs just to phish people for information, steal their biometrics (even photo/voice samples to spoof), trick them into buying stuff "for reimbursement after reviews," etc.
Now there are still a lot of real jobs on there. I have worked for quite a few different people and was paid hourly and fairly. I did recently go and revamp my profile, beef up my portfolio, etc., but still haven't landed a single job yet, when I used to be able to find any number of jobs every week back in 2015 or so.

are there better alternatives as Upwork to find premium copywriter clients and to get easy accepted as freelancer?
Upwork when I understood that right, you must pay for bids to get a job and they reject many many freelancers every day who are try to get accepted.
There are websites where you can submit articles they paying you between $100-500 for one article, what is your experience with these websites?
Do they paying you when they accept the article or do they paying after publishing ? Do they have an limit every week, means accept only 2 articles every week to avoid loose money?
Is it sound like russian roulette- one article gets paid, another not, one article you get $100, another you get $500 but you not know why this happens?
Clear contract rules is a must, do they telling you in advance what they will paying you before they accept your article?
Or are they criminal scammers, means, they accept your article,publish it- thereafter they claim it as their original google sees it as the same and you get nothing?
