Hi,

I have been working on Elance and Odesk (now Upwork) since last 3 years. Have many positive reviews. Since last two years or so I stopped using Upwork as I got some wonderful direct clients, but recently since last 4 months those clients disappeared / slowed down outsourcing work to us and hence now again I have to turn to upwork for more projects.

Now my real problem starts...Even after so many positive reviews I have not received single job, yes not even 1 job in last 5 months, I have been applying to many jobs that are matching with my profile and experience but still no success, I am really depressed and feeling very low and demotivated.

Can someone pls guide me on how to tackle this situation and start getting more jobs on upwork.

Thanks to all in advance.

I will share my real experience as a case study! Hope this help.
I was new on upwork and its a known fact clients dont prefer newbie easily when giving contract. Therefore you need to do something extra to get their attention.
What i did was to present them a live link to a project similar to their problem in proposal. After a week, i easily got two contracts successfully after my interview.

Thanks for the reply. Well I am not new to Upwork ,I already have 50 successful jobs under my belt, my only problem is I started Upwork again after 2 years. So my last project shows in 2016...

But still I'll try to do what you have suggested.

I have also tried many times on upwork, but got no clients and in the end Upwork have closed my account :(

Well 5 months does seem like a long time for no jobs. I'd say just keep sending out those proposals. Good luck man

Yah, that's right and this is what makes me worried. Still I'll try to pump up myself and start bidding on more projects this month and see what happens.

You can try refreshing your profile with some purchased Upwork reviews. You can get them on BHW marketplace. There are plenty of sellers here.
