UPWORK ACCOUNT CREATION - ANOTHER COUNTRY

Hello valued members.

Imagine I'm a freelancer with absolute mastery over social media management. My title on my Upwork profile is: Social Media Manager - FB, IG, TikTok etc.

Imagine I'm from Kenya working my ass off on gigs and proposals but I hardly get a response from clients merely because I'm from a third world country.

Imagine if I wanted to freelance from another country by creating Upwork profile of that specific country.

What do I need to do? Given that Upwork asks you for ID-Verification? Can I do this? Also, I will be needing a bank account from that country for withdrawal of my earned money. How can this all be achieved?

The challenges I see are the following:

1. Location change - would a VPN suffice the need? For instance NordVPN or do I need a proxy? If I get NordVPN's premium subscription with dedicated IP, would it work fine? @Bers666 - Hey networking master, would a VPN serve me here?

2. Profile verification: what if I manage to get a card from the specific country I'm aiming for? Would it be fine?

3. Bank account: What if I get myself a Wise account? Now, again for Wise verification, I need ID-Card and a Debit card. Can this be achieved with a virtual debit card?

Your proxy or vpn should be
1. Undetectable (p0f matches browser OS, no leaks, http3 support, no weird mtu).
2. Stable, so you don't change IP too often.

You might be asked for a video call with id card in your hands.

my problem will using a vpn complicate issues as vpn ips
tend to over abused .

They way they've made the verification round, you can't fake the verification, since they ask for ID and also video call, selfie etc.

Nothing to be done, unless you find someone that can 'borrow' his/her account and you can pay them a monthly fee. When I worked there I've received offers from various people but I wasn't interested. Beware, it's against their TOS!

They are a lot of well-paid users from Kenya on Upwork.
So if you can`t win gigs on Upwork, maybe your country is your last problem.

I wouldn't use VPN for such serious purpose as mentioned by a dear member @proxygo
I'd use a 4G Mobile Proxy - Elite in nature for such serious purpose.

Secondly, you can use virtual numbers for phone verification but I don't really think so that you'll get the account activated because they'll cross verify your card with a selfie where you'll be holding the card in your face.

Yes verification can't be faked since you're going to video call. Ip can be faked though.

You can buy an account or you rent one, I think that's the only way for now

as a free lancer and a client from canada i look for people from third world countries . they give better rates , u just got to find a good person all countries have bad free lancers i find the cheap ones in first world countries are horrible , i got a guy from turkey who worked for me for like 3 days striaght for 50$ all day long we worked together on a project and stayed late to get it done hes one of my go to guys i honestly felt bad paying him so little but he choose the ammount he under cutted my offer , i have done more jobs with him he is the best free lancer i ever worked with idk if ud call turkey a third world country but it is really poor and full of corruption , i also worked with a nigerian on and off for like 3 years he was great to with people from the firtss world i have gotten good service bu the price is always way more i can see why u want to be seen as from another country tho and your point is valid why not just have multiple accounts . also im pretty sure alot of free lancers use their girlfriend or wives pictures and id to get more customers ive had females accounts mesasage me then when i get on the phone its a man talking. the guy from turkey when i met him he had 0 reviews on upwork the only reason i hired him because his interveiw was by far the best he was able to explain everything in detail thats why i hired him not his country he knew what he was doing and didnt overcharge he had amazing english skills. i find honest people from poorer countries are willing to work a lot harder for less and honestly on upwork
