I noticed that upvotes to a comment causes that comment to get removed. This was pretty slow - one upvote per 10 minutes or so. Has anyone had this issue? The post was a few years old, but the comment i was upvoting was only a week old or so.

(As i test i tried this same thing on a random old post that has a lot of upvotes, and it didn't get taken down even with 20 upvotes in 5 minutes, so i assume account reputation is something to do with it)

Curious if theres a sweetspot in terms of how slow you can send upvotes?

Hmm. It doesn't seem real if a week old comment on a years old post gets upvotes every 10 minutes. It's possible their system flagged your comment. :P

For sure, but i'm wondering if anyone has experimented and figured out the speed at which you can upvote an old post's comments. This never used to be an issue even as recently as 8 months ago.

You guys are getting upvotes on old comments? They don't seem to work at all for me. The votes just disappear like nothing happened.

I noticed votes from mobile IPs are less likely to cause removals.

I'm using an upvote service from here, I tried *one* upvote today on another comment, the panel delivered four, and the comment got removed. After only four!!

What you’re seeing could be the result of automated spam filters or subreddit-specific reputation filters
