Hello all, this is my first time posting a journey thread. I often start projects and don't really follow through with them as long as I should. Hopefully this will provide the extra little motivation to see this project through to the finish!

I have bought a nice domain and am building a porn site from the ground up in the goal of flipping it off for a decent profit.

My goal is to be able to sell the website for around $20,000, hopefully in the next 6-12 months. I?m not going to get to hung up on monthly earnings right away, but I would like to build my website up to earning around $1000/month or around $33/day in revenue. So let?s begin this journey with the first 2 days of working?

Day 1

Day 1 was actually on Tuesday, 1/12/16. I found a really nice brand-able domain on ExpiredDomains. I checked the history and it was a reasonably nice site and has some backlinks from some other low traffic porn sites in the form of a banner in the header of those sites.

Anyway I bought the domain and setup a Wordpress network with 3 blogs. The first blog is just a landing page with an 18+ disclaimer. The other two blogs are a PornTube for video and a TGP for pictures. They are setup to link to each other and the whole thing looks like one solid website!

I purchased and installed TubeAce and AdultGalleryPress on the blogs, was the biggest investment I made for these websites (approx. $140 for both), but I will use both plugins on more sites in the future!

Day 2

Okay, this is what I accomplished on 1/13/16. It took a little bit of time to figure out how to use TubeAce and AdultGalleryPress but they were pretty easy to figure out. I spent the day simply adding some videos and TGP galleries to my website. I used the Drafts Scheduler plugin to schedule the posts to have a constantly updating website. Currently have video posts scheduled through the middle of April and images scheduled into early February.

I have also started adding monetization options. The first being working with HubTraffic (YouPorn, PornTube, etc) for my porntube section of the site which will give some income for people watching videos on my site. I have also added a CrakRevenue GeoMatic banner as well. I will be looking at some other ways to boost income in the coming weeks once I start building traffic.

That?s it for now, I am just starting on my day 3 tasks and will post an update on what I accomplished later today hopefully.

Good Luck! Seems interesting. As you have said, you gonna flip website for 20k, which is making $33 a day? Am I right?

It is a pretty rough number but $33 a day would be around $1000 per month. I only did some quick reading to find number to be a goal, but it seems asking around 12-36 x monthly income is not completely out of possibility. Also it is a solid brand-able domain, so I think it wouldn't be too hard to get a nice sell price out of it once it's earning $1000 per month.

Day 3 Update

Well, I mostly finished anything that I will achieve for today, so might as well post a quick update.

I have uploaded 10 videos to pornhub and am working on uploading videos to Xvideo. I grabbed some videos without watermarks from xHamster and added a watermark image for my site. The pornhub uploaded is far more convenient that Xvideo, so I can upload quite a few more videos! Some of the video titles also have my domain in them as well as having the watermark.

If you get bigger, submit your site to tube agregators like tubegalore, and contact theporndude (if your alexa is stable at 100k and your tube is established) - they gonna send you shit loads of traffic. But I would opt for organic traffic.

Btw, with TubeAce you won't get far. I'd suggest go with KVS script or MechBunny.

Yea, I've tried to use TubeAce in the past. Theres definately other scripts out there that are better, but you seem to know what youre doing. Good luck OP

Cool, I forgot that ThePornDude exists. For the time being I am using it to find more tube sites to upload videos too drive traffic to my website.

Also, I did read some bad things with TubeAce but I didn't have too much trouble getting it setup and it was pretty easy to get a bunch of videos from PornHub posted to my website, and combined with Draft Scheduler, I will have video updates through April just from PornHub, will likely add a couple more batches from xvideos as well for variety.

I had one small issue with my permalink structure (I completely forgot to change it), but the owner of TubeAce was pretty quick to send me back and tell me what I did wrong.

I think from a price standpoint, I would rather go with TubeAce than MechBunny for now, investing $140 to setup the tube and TGP blogs is something I could justify and afford.

I probably won't keep talking about TubeAce after this, I knew people would be interested in what scripts I was running so I posted it.

I also have locked down my wp-login page to only allow my IPs to access, thus blocking anybody else from trying to hack my username/passwords for wordpress.

question about the video uploading: How do I create a watermark image for my site and upload to the video? thanks.
 
Good luck in the journey. You can flip it up to 20x monthly earning depending on earnings consistency.

I am at work and don't have the name of the actual program I am using in front of me, but I can't really recommend the software anyway as it doesn't automatically scale the watermark for the video resolution. Am looking into other options to make the process easier for me. Might try Windows Movie Maker that bmfirst has suggested.

I am using an image watermark created in photoshop, currently it's not very good and very temporary. Working on creating a really awesome logo tonight during my down time at my real job.

Yes, that's what I have read and was my goal with my original numbers. The website won't have consistent income when I decide to sell it, but hopefully will have consistent growth. And also I think the domain is brand-able enough that paired with profitable income streams, I should be able to find a buyer when the time comes, but that is a long ways off.

I will be posting a day 4 update probably late on Friday. My goal for the day is to add another set of videos to the post queue. I will also continue uploading videos to various porntube websites and hopefully looking for a couple other sources for free traffic.

Day 4 Update


Well I had a little surprise today, while I don't think it translated into a lot of traffic to my website, I had a video uploaded to PornHub take off a little bit and the video itself ended up getting roughly 4,000 views in less than 24 hours. The video was in a taboo niche and was one of the top niches in 2015. Will be adding more videos like it and probably making a dedicated category of videos on my website as well!


Today was a day filled with downloading, watermarking, and uploading.


I downloaded a couple torrents with a bunch of amateur videos, mostly not watermarked. I added my watermark to the videos and renamed them to something someone would search for. I then uploaded some videos to a handful of porn tubes...
- uploaded 20 watermarked videos to PornHub in various niches.
- Uploaded 5 videos to fapdu
- Uploaded 5 videos to Xvideo


The upload process is so much easier at PornHub (can batch upload videos), the upload count there is quite a bit higher.


I spent some time doing some keyword research directly related to active porn stars with the goal of starting to manually build pages with information about specific porn stars to try and target some long tail keywords on Google.


I realized I didn't have my Google analytics set up properly for running a multi-blog wordpress installation and had to hook up each wordpress account in order to track visitors. I can see a few human views trickling in through looking at the logs in wordfence, but still less than 10 human visitors a day.


That's mostly it for my work today I think. I do have a question that maybe someone can shed some light on and get me pointed in the right direction.


I have scheduled and posted about 600 videos to my site. I would like to go in and manually spin the title and add maybe 100-200 words of unique content to each post. However, it seems like there has to be a more efficient way than doing it post by post with-in Wordpress. I wouldn't even need to see the actual content for most of the posts to accomplish this, just seeing the current title should be enough. Not sure if there is a quicker way to accomplish this?

Edit - The software I am using for watermarking is Aoao Watermark Pro. I found the feature to scale the watermark to each video automatically so I can safely recommend it for anyone looking for a program to watermark videos. Seems to have some issues with Xvideos as about half the videos I watermark won't start to upload at all.

There is software called xvideo jazz which is really helpful tool for downloading videos from other sites and uploading videos on xvideos. It even allows you to make xvideos account. and one more thing you will be getting video watermark software for free.
 
Thanks anilpendu, I will keep that in mind for the future, don't think I am going to use it at the moment however, can't justify buying more software at the moment and a quick search didn't turn up a copy of it.

Day 5 Update

Not a lot of work done on this today. Spent a lot of time messing with TubeAce and trying to figure out some of it's quirks. Truthfully it seems like an outdated plugin and only a handful of the features actually work. Certainly wouldn't recommend it for anybody not already somewhat familiar with wordpress.

But I did manage to add some more videos to my tube, most being added daily through April.

I wanted to add a good number of Pornstar Bio pages to get some long tail Google traffic, I did get 2 model pages up but I am not totally satisfied with how they look at the moment. These pages have a quick bio with a paragraph or two of content about the networks they have worked with and the types of porn they have done. Then they are interlinked to my PornTube with videos that they have done.

I also started looking into some link exchange websites.

Sort the sites by DA or PA. And also check the OBL.

With LinkSpun - it's best you have good adult sites (blog, tubes, tgp, mgp) with DA from your niche, list them all there, 50+ would to the trick, and start exchanging with other webmasters. Keep your porn tube with low OBL.

When exchanging hardlinks, don't do exchanges with your main tube, only with your "50+" secondary sites.
