Just get an inverter. It will power your whole house along your computer. Depending on its capacity, it can provide backup for hours.

I have been using a sine wave inverter for more three years, had hundreds of power cuts. Not even once has my pc turned off due to a powercut. I even keep my PC on for weeks some time. They are two types of inverters: Square wave and Sine wave. Square wave inverters are meant for devices like motors. Sine wave inverters are meant for devices like Refrigerator, fan, light and computers.Please tell me what you are using for a battery to work with the inverter. Get a sine wave inverter if you intend to use it for a computer. Depending on the backup time required, you can hook a smaller or larger capacity battery. Both the inverter and battery can be placed inside a compact housing unit.
