Yesterday i tried uploading the highlights of the Chelsea against Bayern Munich game, and within minutes i got the copyright notice from Youtube. However, there are other guys that are able to upload the highlights and the videos dont get the copyright notice.

Any idea of how they do it or any program that can help avoid getting the videos detected by youtube?

I never personally tried to upload heavily copyrighted content such as that, but try spinning the MD5 hash via Video Spin Blaster.

I have a problem when someone bumps threads from 2013 to inflate their post count.

Old post, but in case you missed it: YT has a Content ID system that will automatically flag your video if it matches their database of content provided by the original copyright holder bit-by-bit. You can try modifying the video/audio, but it has to be to a point it's virtually unrecognizable from the original content.

Say you want display a scene from The Walking Dead, to avoid getting flag, you may want to crop the picture so only a SMALL portion of the scene is displayed. That's a lot of edited content there and that's just the visuals.

You may also try playing a clip that doesn't last for more than 15-20 seconds. I noticed that really short clips cannot be flagged by the Content ID (in part because if you want to monetize it, the movie has to to provide enough time for the ad to be displayed), though you can still get flagged MANUALLY by the copyright holder/rep.

    BINGO!

You hit it right on the mark the quarter screen method helps for copyright material. Keep the screen small enough to not get flagged for Content ID claims.

Also yes to keep something fullscreen like that 15-20 secs and sometimes up 24-26 secs works as well. I've seen people monetizing their videos with TV shows or movie clips or commercials but the length of the promo is real short. Never go over like 27 seconds.

For strikes that's a tagging and category problem, you have to be real smart with that and try to keep the video away from the copyright lawyers as much as you can without getting caught.
