Upgrading from WP to WPMU?

I'm wondering if there is anyway to upgrade from regular WP to WP MU?

In case there isn't a miracle plug in or process. Does anybody have any experience backing up WP than installing clean WPMU and putting backed up info onto the new platform without harming SERP or any other possible obstacles?

What i'm really trying to say, what is the most effective way to upgrade from one platform to the other with as little hassle as possible?

From my experience: fresh install

WP and WPMU and separate programs.

That or wait until WP 3.0 (release candidate should be out very soon) - it apparently has MU support build into it.

While searching for a solution I came across an article that claimed that WP 3.0 is coming with WP MU Integrated... If this is true I might as well wait until WP 3.0 comes out.

Any official link to this news?

No? anybody confirm 3.0 will have MU integrated?
