Upfront Payment Gone Down

alright so for most of my articles I get them out of magazines so theoretically they should all pay the same right. Well I published about 20 or so articles from magazines and they made about 3.15 each give or take a bit. So I recently submitted another 10 or so, over multiple days. My average is about 3 articles per day. They all recieved very low up front payments, around 1.15. Why did they drop so much, it's not like anything changed. They were from the same magazines that I got 3.15 for. I usually submit tutorials and reviews. Anyone got any thoughts?

usually they give a reason why the article could not get higher upfront payment
 
yea, in the past they have but for the recent string of articles I submitted all I got was the offer and no comment in the text box.
 
Lol I think AC is going bankrupt, or is trying to conserve money. It's ok, it's not your fault :)
 
Could be the global recession too. You never know! Have you checked with any other people? Are they getting such low rates aswell?
 
I'm getting low rates as well. As of the past 3 weeks, I've gotten one article at 3.24
 
Could it be that the articles are old and rehashed and that they are not oblivious to the source?
 
Couldnt be this, otherwise AC would comment on the articles and provide a reason. The guy clearly states that there was no comment made. So i doubt that its because of this.

The rates have dropped i guess. Is everyone facing this issue?

well for me, i usually just get 3 dollars.
and now its like 1 dollar to 1.50
 
Me too having the same decrease. 10 days ago $3+ per article, now $1-2 each. :(
 
The amount paid may ebb and flow with how much money they are receiving at a given time. Not a sign of bankruptcy, more one of proportionally adjusting rates to ensure they stay in the black.

it's good (and unfortunately bad) to know that I'm not the only one. I guess AC just hit a rough patch. hopefully soon it will go back up

That's really good.
3 days ago I have submitted 3 articles.Now I am waiting for approval and will post the rate i have got.
 
the rate for my last article was 2.37 or something odd like that, instead of $3+
 
i think now AC will look for your quality of content and word counts, i post my articles, they pay me different, last article for upfront they pay me $2.50.
