Updating outdated content

Hi,

Just wanted a bit of advice I have a blog post which has started to drop in rankings over the past few months.

I wanted to update the content but the post is set up as www.website.com/DATE/blogpost the date is back in 2018. Would it be better for me to update the original blog post (which has had PBN links in the past) or create a new post and redirect the original?

I don't want to drop any more rankings so any advice, please.

Date in URL doesn't matter so you shouldn't worry about that. Since that URL is already indexed & ranking, it'd best to update the content and republish on a latest date.
