Hello guys,
I have 3 years old blog with 200+ articles but articles are not SEO optimized. According to semrush I have only 100 Keywords on my site :D.

The question is, if I update those old articles by adding some keywords in it, will those articles will rank?

all things being equal, yes they will rank. however, things are not equal. I suggest to test it out. pick few of the pages that have good keywords, increase the word count to the avg level of the top 3-5 position for that keyword, and optimize it based on competitive analysis. See what happens after 3 weeks.

do through some social media shares to those pages that you have updated for a quicker indexing.

Yes they would. Do proper research and add quality backlinks. The results will follow.

Yeah! you can. But you have to add unique content, backlinks from highly trusted sites, and promote it in social media to increase ranking.

Updating posts are always a good thing but don't do over-optimization. It might affect the current ranking keywords too.

The most worried part in old content is broken link.It pushes down the rankings in Google. To repair the broken link will improve the page and whatever we published will rank on Google.

Updating content with good quality and adding backlinks from high authority sites can help you to increase your ranking. And use social media signals to increase your audience.

If the articles are good already, i.e. 1000+ words of quality content. Just add some decent links and that should do the trick. If the articles are short, yeah you need to improve them + add some quality links and you will be golden!

Build a strong silo with them and you will see rankings raise really good. It's about relevancy, but before building links, work on silo on your site, then you can build links to it. It saves time and you rank a lot better.

If the posts are worth salvaging, it makes sense to get the most value from them that you can. So, I think it’d be worth improving them if you can.

Sometimes there will be down, add links from authority site, will help to regain./

Are those articles bringing any traffic currently ?

Yes it will rank but you need to analyze about keywords and backlinks (Broken links)
