Unnecessary plugins. Deactivate or delete?

Many say that when you have too many plugins, they affect site speed and seo in a negative way. Is it better to just deactivate them or you delete them indefinitely?

If you are not going to use them, why do you want to have them disabled?

Delete them and you'll have a much cleaner WordPress.
 
Of course, they are affecting the speed, just deactivate/remove unnecessary ones you are not using.

Of course, there are more than just a few plugins to get better speed but yeah, for smaller webs, removing plugins might do the job.
 
If i don't use.. I will delete... But if i want to use for other web.. I will disable only, i always forgot plugin name
 
You can delete them, which gives you more space and is better for security (because a plugin, even if deactivated, is still vulnerable if it has a flaw).

Keep your site clean and healthy!
 
I don't keep plugins I don't use. They are a burden to the eyes.
 
ALWAYS delete unused wp plugins. This is not a matter of preference but a security issue. All the inactive plugin needs to have is a test upload script or something similar. The hackers can access them directly from
urdomain.com/wp-content/plugins/vulnerable-plugin/some-asset-folder/somephpfile.php
no matter whether the plugin is disabled or not.

How do they find the folder? Google dork!

Yes, it will affect the site speed, It's better to completely delete them .
 
Best practice would be to uninstall them, and do a proper cleaning by hand or with a plugin of all data they left behind in your wp directories and database (most plugins leave files after uninstalling).

Yes, having too many plugins can slow down your site and harm SEO. It's better to delete unused plugins rather than just deactivating them to improve site performance and security
 
If you are not using them, just delete them
 
what is the problem with deleting them? You can always re-install them, no? that will only help you.
