well got the GWT notification for one of my money sites, probably because of some SAPE links that weren't removed...
I believe the best would be to move the website to a new domain and 301 the old domain to the new one. I know there are other opinions regarding 301 a penalized domain, but from my past experience there shouldn't be any problem with this. The only thing i'm not sure about is whether it will be better to move the site to a brand new domain or use an aged one (that is a few years old, have a PR2 and some backlinks). Already have the aged one to fit this website and its not used for anything else right now so its not a question of price. What i'm asking is would it be easier to rank a new one or an old one assuming it is moved with a 301. ideas anyone?

Go for new site. 301 will rank new domain quickly but eventually within 4-5 weeks penalty will pass to new domain as well.

build a new site and do link building again..tiered and slow velocity.

90% more easy will be with 301. may you say website nich? is it big website or small?

I will go for 301, the question is whether to 301 it to a new or aged domain...
The niche is business services

any ideas anyone?

Aged domain will be better. Google is more lenient towards aged domains.
