I'm pretty sure that he's talking about the Wirecast method, where you use Live Events to rank keywords faster. In my experience, it doesn't work much better than uploading the video, and I've been testing it a lot. Contrary to what he says, this method has been around for years. I'm not sure if it used to work much better before, but I've tested it about 30 times with mediocre results, and it's not worth it because when you use Wirecast it makes the video look grainy. When I did my testing, sometimes the Live Event would rank better than the regular upload, but only by a few positions, which isn't worth the poor video quality. And other times, the regular upload would beat the Live Event. So, I just stick to uploading the video file.

I learned about that technique at Ungagged (up until recently, video optimization had not been my forte) and it sounded like a great method until yes, the whole grainy-video thing. Also it massively slows video production down.

I follow a few YouTube channels in my niche from my competitors. I will say that their live recordings that they run through YouTube rank well and YouTube really likes them.

But yeah. I don't care if someone made an ebook and some software to "help" you live record your videos or whatever product they've packaged for JVZoo, this is a very old method, and not one I'd recommend.

With YouTube I feel there are no shortcuts. The closest you get to shortcuts is internal YouTube ads.

OP - if this continues I'll be forced to report your continued posts. This isn't how stuff is done here. You don't come bump your continued useless thread with a bunch of plus signs. Consider yourself pleasantly advised to discontinue or at least accept the refractions coming your way from mods. I think they've been pleasantly overlooking your on-going endeavors, but that won't last forever should you continue to bump your threads with nothing of value added.

Direct to your questions - they've been answered at this time. As was pointed out this specific case scenario is likely one of people properly using the screencast method, which has also been around for a lot of years, and remains hit and miss just as the "unlisted" method does.

Now stop being lazy, and looking for easy solutions you can pay $x,xxx for that you have no intention of ever paying for, and do the work to get some videos up and do your own split-testing, or use a well established approach of doing good on-video optimization(tags, title, description, transcript, etc...), and get out there and build some embeds and backlinks. That's what works in 2016, and it works way better than both of the methods you're trying to buy for $x,xxx. Way better!

my recent tests shows that the old unlisted method is working very well on GEO targeted countries (not the worldwide version of youtube)

1. the goal i was setting is to enter the top 100 trending list on a specific local youtube
the trending list is a playlist that youtube auto generated and includes the 200 most viewed at that local

2. i publish a new video and set it as unlisted, although i managed to do it also with OLD video from 2015

3. sending fast FULL RETENTION youtube views ONLY from that local (!!!) after 2-3 days i change it to public

4. depending on the amount of traffic sent (comparing to unknown traffic that other organic videos on that list gets) i enter to the top 100 playlist

5. in large locals such as russia (142M ppl) it was't so easy, after 26 hours the video got 37K full retention views from russia only
and then i change it to PUBLIC, 30 min after it entered to #32 on the trending list, i managed to get tons of comments and hundreds of click on my CPA offer at the description
i didn't manage to hold it on higher position for long, as i did on small locals.

6. tests on INDIA, ISRAEL, BRAZIL locals was very success i manage to trend videos with that method, on high places for a very long time.

Does this still work in countries such as India? Also, how did you target a certain country? Did you upload it from that location or send views from people that were in those countries? Sorry I'm a beginner in SEO.
 
Still works but there new ways in town .

But yes works fine.

No sorry because i am on a course and i dont understand it my self yet , but as soon as i do ill be telling .

When i say new , i mean new to me .

I will admit to one thing , if you put up
A video as a live video it get more prority then normal videos.

And get instant indexing and usally heigh postion in google.

I can not talk about video optimisation as that very easy and can learn via this forum.

The unlisted method isnt guaranteed anymore. It could work, but there is no trick to it working every time.
