Is it possible that some of these old digg pages are not in the G index but in G's Supplemental Results? Does it make a difference?

For the page I'm looking at, p0puri.YouEss says PR 8, but hxxp://www.prchecker.inf0/check_page_rank.php says:

IMPORTANT: N/A (not available) - it is not possible to show any pagerank now.

The N/A pagerank (grey pagerank bar) might be due to one of the following reasons:

(1) the web page is new, and it is not indexed by Google yet,
(2) the web page is indexed by Google, but it is not ranked yet,
(3) the web page was indexed by Google long ago, but it is recognised
as a supplemental (Supplemental Results) page,
(4) the web page or the whole website is banned by Google.

great tip thanks, a steady 5 a day on related articles will do nicely for me.

Nice work

I saw this method ages ago but had completely forgotten about it
Time to get on DP and hire someone to hunt out some pages :D

Spent a few hours yesterday on this and found literally hundreds of pages in the niche i was looking for .. so much so i stopped bookmarking stuff less than PR 4.

I found some PR 5 pages within my niche with less than 10 comments and no other links :D

From my findings i noticed many of the higher PR pages were related to the following
Apple
Java
Firefox
Politics
Joomla

Here are a couple to get you started.

PR 5 -

Google won't ban you for doing this. You can only get banned for links that are on your site such as links to known spam sites. If it could harm you I would just be sitting here adding my rivals onto digg to get them kicked. The worst that could happen is the link juice form them is discounted and you have lost nothing (apart from your time).

Google does seem to index these pages by the way, I just checked up on one I did and Google last spidered the page just yesterday!

Does anyone know if there is a trick to find digg pages with few comments? Most of the older ones have loads of comments, the new ones don't but I suspect your links will get removed as people will see them.

is it okay to place 3 links in one comment?
and is it ********?

Well... how G treats links already gave juice to many discussions. Your argument is well-known to many people here, but however possibly only logical-seeming.

Here my experiment:
One site, about 50 pages (low-competing keywords), 5000 deep-linking sticky links with anchors to my site (XRumer, the links can be found by searching for "www.mydomain.com", yahoo site counts about 1000 backlinks). Result: 10-20 visitors per day.

If you have an established site and somebody puts suddenly 1000000000 links from spam pages this will certainly look different to G as when you have a brand-new domain with no backlinks. And yes... I also know that argument "But what about new pages which are chilling well, they will receive many backlinks in no time"... yes, additionally there are human inspectors. And: new pages which get many backlinks have a different traffic source than G, so even if G would penalize them, it would be no problem for mid-term link-achievement. And: G gives new pages a bonus - they rank for a short while very well with a very small amount of links.

Think about that: there are so many backlink tools available and it is even possible to get links from high-ranking authority sites. Do you really think G does not penalize unnatural link-growth? This would mean that we all here could get rich in no time.

G has many computer scientists which do all to give a good quality to the SERPs. Without thinking too deep, I can imagine many possibilites how to check a site quality w/o letting the CPU explode. We know only some, the rest is myth, but however thinking the game is that easy is IMHO wrong.

Ive never had G ban my sites completely for unnatural link building .. but i constantly find sites of mine getting punished for it for a month or so with shitty serps!

I am not sure what you mean by linking to the Digg page. Can't i register my url, comment and that is a link to that url that I submitted? I don't understand what you mean by linking to the digg page????

Just curious,
if you don't mind me asking,

are links created by typing
Code:
www.yourlinkhere.com
as plantext or do we need to anchor text it

Thanks for the tip, within 3 minutes I found a PR1 for one of my websites keyword and 3 PR2s all with under 40 comments.

Nice thread...I will give this a shot and see what happens. Should I point the traffic to my main site or maybe my squidoo site that leads to my main site?

Thanks

Ok I've tried this method 48 hours ago, but right now the sites I used lost some position on big G.. probably it's just an adjustment... let's see what happens in the next few days.

I love pinging high pr websites with my website as a refer its the best thing I ever did :)
