This deal appeared in one of my social media feeds. Has anyone used ibrave hosting? Are other hosting providers such as bonohost, starthost, rootpal listed on stacksocial reliable?

Don't say before you try! I have two lifetime hosting bought from stacksocial and they are all good.
I have iBrave and Starthost, they are legit and I study their business models as well.
First, their hosting is i20 -- i20 has a unlimited hosting plan for b2b,
you can build your own hosting if you could just get 2 new signups per month, that's enough to keep the hosting cost covered.
Second, inside the user panel you can order domains, vps and other services. So they have other income sources to keep the cost covered.
Third, I have used both of them for almost a year now, so far so good, way better than the trash bluehost that goes down at least 48 hours in a year and super slow.
Starthost is very fast, I have the business plan for hosting 25 sites, that's enough for me.
iBrave is unlimited plan, however the speed is slower than Starthost.
I believe all the lifetime offers in the market are hosting from i20, they have similar user panels.
As long as i20 is kicking, the lifetime is likely to go on.
Now I'm moving heavy sites to Vultr and light sites to Starthost and iBrave, very happy to get rid of bluehost and dreamhost.
