Hi Guys,
I found an amazing way to get free phone numbers, US based, in a state you prefer.
There are a few things you need, but I take it most of you have access to this.
What you need:
- an iPhone (or other iOS device) or an Android based device
- The (free) app 'Textfree'
How it works:
Download the Textfree app from the App Store or the Android market. After you made it, create an account in the app. Choose a number.
This will give you one number. That's great, but the amazing thing is: You can access the texts (not sure about phone calls) from your PC! Simply surf to pinger [dot] com [slash] textfree and log in with your details.
Now you can just make a new account in the app, and continue doing this. Your number WILL expire if you won't use it for a bit, but that shouldn't be a problem.
You can text and receive texts for free from anywhere in the world, calling only works (as far as I know) from and to the US.
Also, there are ways to install Android on your PC, but don't ask me how.
Enjoy!
