Unlimited domains / sites

Hello. I have seen some promotions/combos in many webhosting companies, pretty often they offer a package with '' unlimited websites '' or '' unlimited domains ''.
I understand that, the promoted product consists in being allowed to host as many websites I want in their server , as long I respect the bandwith and server/disk space. Am i right?
The question is relevant in my case, because I am planning to have a main blog, but I would like to experiment with smaller projects in my spare time, and do not want to buy another hosting solution. Being more specific, I want to leave an open door to start more websites in the future, getting more bang for my buck.

You can host multiple websites on one hosting that has "unlimited" domains/bandwidth. They will have a way of limiting you, like the number of inodes or whatever, you will reach the wall of that infinite service. But until you do, you can host multiple websites. I had a hosting at some point with around 10 wordpress minisites. All working at the same time. It was getting pretty slow, but it was working..

Yes you can host several sites on the same server. Also depending on the host when you add a new site it gives you a different IP for each new site.
