great uk hosts are eukhost[dot]com - 24/7 support and i mean literally 24/7 live chat support (Ive had to hit them up on christmas day even) as sad as that is, site went down 
i have a vps with them and have done for well over 12 months, if its a uk vps you need then try them out, the support does it for me though, hands down

Thanks for the recommendations.
Have come across some eukhost comments on google searches, some good, some bad. But for a UK host their prices seem reasonable and services offered are just what I have been looking for (VPS).
Will give them a try I think.

ive had some slow patches mate but the the support which beats any hosting company i know, simply 24/7 live support and i mean 24/7
even if you hit a bug with a script or something doesnt work etc they will debug it, they are very kind like that
