Word of warning. I (and many others if you check the offline marketing section of BHW) have done exactly this in the past with some success.

HOWEVER. The clients you will get in general for this are cheapskates that will want a website well beyond what the HG commission is worth... Then HG also decide to shave constantly.
 
If you're willing to hustle you can earn a good income with this. The real money is in upselling services (social media, SEO, content, logo design, mobile apps) to small business owners that aren't very tech savvy. I know a guy who makes thousands per client selling them facebook likes, twitter followers, etc which he just outsources to fiverr.
 
I can confirm that this works.....sad to see how spammers are on it though.....

The big downside to this is that you don't get paid until two months after you send the first sale which is quite a long time to wait for a payment. Check out the following link for additional information:

This method is ancient. It works, but as said before, the quality of leads you get is less-than-stellar... more often than not the people who hit you up are going to be nightmares to work with.

Another way to advertise it would be to get your local paper to promote it - if you're offering something for free to local businesses they'll more than likely do a story on it for you.
 
Aye!! Method seems working, just got 2 mails in 3 hour. Just published 4 ads. But 1st one have his own hosting(out of list). Waiting for second one reply.

Only shitting thing with cg is the fucking 3 post every 2 days limit.
so far, people just resopnd interested and then bail out once they learn they have to pay for hosting
cheap bastards....
 
Instead of having them signup for hostgator, couldn't you become a hostgator re-seller? The original method looks good also. :)

Nope. Why just US ? It is the most overused/spammed/competitioned area. Try another countries.
 
Well, this method might work. But is customizing templates took also some time?
How if the customer wanted their logo, or they wanted an application?

Or, we just say that we will create the basic function for your site for free, and the rest will be charged?
Because I think it is impossible that people are willing to use a website which are somewhat half-baked.
