More and more physical media are being indexed online every day. You'd have to do the labor to make sure it wasn't already somewhere else on the 'net, and then you run the risk of having it indexed on the net in the future. And no matter what, you're infringing on someone else's copyright.
This isn't a very good strategy in my opinion. It's easy, fast, and requires no brainpower, but the end result woill be low-quality.

not really new but good idea, if the book/magazine is not on the net yet
i'm not sure about this voice recognizer software tho (which is the best of its kind, but still...)
i'd say you'd better to type in or hire somebody to do the dirty job for you if you have the budget, most likely you'll have unreadable articles if you use dragon naturally speaking and you need to manually rewrite them, which roughly means the same time if you just type the articles in

Yep... It would be faster / more cost effective to pay someone to scan your material and then OCR it. You could either use an open source proggy like Tesseract or one of the more expensive (but more accurate) paid programs out there.
This is the kind of job where a bit of outsourcing $$ could go a long way.

yea the method works. Just paraphrase the article and paraphrase content from other similar articles.
No you can do ocr its faster.

I remember a thread a while back on this topic - the OP of that thread suggested pulling library books/mags and using Dragon NS to create articles. I'm giving a pretty crappy summary of that thread -

or you could always just watch online lectures and transcribe them. Google doesn't know how to detect video audio to a high level.
