Hey hey,

It is only a month away now, woohoo. It'll be my first time traveling to London. I want to do some sightseeing there. And not just sightseeing the nighttime clubs

Can any locals give me any recommendations on what I should/shouldn't do on a short visit?

Cheers

I'm interested in this too. The last and only time I was in London I seen airport, beer, hotel, beer, underground, beer, gig, beer, underground, beer, airport. It was great. Although this time I'm only over the fri til Monday. With ungagged I don't know how much time I have. How long you going for? Look forward to meeting you.

I've been to London many times so I can give you a few pointers, Oxford Street is not bad, London Eye area - everyone goes there, Westminster and Buckingham palace, Madame Tussauds wax museum, Thorpe Park, malls like Westfield and Brent Cross etc... depends what you are interested in, its a big place and the list is huge.

Yeah, does depend what you're interested in.
In 1 day you can see the science museum (really cool stuff), natural history museum (cool dinosaurs), go to london bridge as thats just a walk away from the hotel and also the London eye. You could go shopping in Harrods (the poshest store where the stars shop) and Hamleys (the biggest toy shop with some cool stuff too). That would be a very packed day!
You would be close to the amazing tourist attractions like the tower of london, big ben, houses of parliament.
Go to camden market and covent garden for interesting shops and stalls.
Plus you have our version of broadway which is the west end to see shows.
I'd come along to some but only staying the 3 days but we do have the monday afternoon free and the evenings!

W130SN you crack me up, I 100% fell for that. I wish you were coming.

And 4ContactUK thanks for the advice! I think I will go shopping a bit, I have this lovely British trench coat that I've worn to death that needs to be replaced so I'll go do that. I'm also only in London for 3 days but I'm not going to be attending every conference session I don't think. I've gone through the speakers and their topics and ticked off the ones that particularly interest me. For the rest, I'm going to go wandering around London a bit, and sightsee in the evenings.
