I've recently found that when I started to unfollow lots of people (followings) my followers also started to disappear very soon.
At some accounts about 35%, at others 70%. It means, for example, if I unfollow 1k followings then I have also - (minus) 350-700 followers.

1. Does that means that many of my subscribers want me to stay signed on them too and they don't want just follow me because they like my content? And this is kind of normal situation?

or

2. The reason is that I used block/unblock method to unfollow?

Can anyone explain, please?

If you block to unfollow them, and they also follow you, you are removing them from your list, obviously.

When you mass unfollow, you lose some followers as well, but the impact is minimum. When you block, the user stops his connection to you, if he follows you, he won't be following anymore.

Thats why i said you have to sort it first.... the people who not unfollow you then block them... not just mass blocking.... ==a

just block the followers who are inactive. I really want a bot to do this for me :/

can you explain how to block non followers? is there an easy way?
Use an app like Instameter to check people who aren't following you back even though you're following them. Then just block them.

Thanks for the answers. I believe this question could be informative for all.
I was dumb not checking how block/unblock works before mass blocking/unblocking people :D

Now I'm very interested in the software that can easily do that for me:
- check the followers that don't follow back;
- fast block/unblock them.

Doing manually is really taking much time =)
