    Hi gents,

A friend of mine knows I have been learning and practicing SEO for my own projects and happened to have a conversation with his boss about some points I made to him regarding their website. The boss has asked for me to send over a review of the current state of the site, and how I'd go about improving it. I've got it in my mind to generate a PDF report of no more than 3 pages, and a simple opener on the mail. The part I am pondering about is how much to charge, I was thinking of just going with £150 a day for my services, and for him to assign a budget for adwords, or any services I need to outsource. How does this sound and if anyone has any advice I am all ears.

    Thank you for reading.

    seo or ppc?

seo, do a bit of research to see what he/she is willing to pay to acquire a customer, then determine very conservatively how many customers you can bring him. This should help you price your seo.

for ppc, the industry standard is 10-20% of ad budget for management, and a set up fee. Or you can do a fixed management fee every month. Good luck!

primarily SEO, I guess you could say managing adwords for them is PPC - my apologies. I wouldn't be starting out on adwords, as I can see many quick wins in SEO for the website to be actioned.

There's no prices on the actual website (just an inquiry button) but in one review a unit sells for ~£1500 with £200 a month support. I can work towards ranking long-tail keywords which will bring organic traffic flowing in, manage social signals and correct some setup issues in wordpress. Thanks.

well with the traffic you can bring them from those KWs...do you think its possible to get five sales per month?
What is their conversion rates now?

    with 5 sales they make 7500 + 1000/m
10-20% of that is a very fair fee

so based on the above charging 750-1500 is your range.
