I have been using a paid for database of links plus Rs links of course from BHW and I am trying to understand DA and PA and UL (Ahrefs term ...basically link value after taking account of outgoing links I believe) maths
Many profile links and free site builder links for example have high DAs and PAs and corresponding ULs. SO in theory are great links (but see ps s below) . In fact MUCH better than your average PBN link you pay for in terms of DA PA and UL. metrics .... or for that matter what I would call a real organic link .
Is that a correct interpretation.or are these metrics misleading for profile links, free website builder links web 2.0 links and the like which surely must have a low link value ...........
What is the correct maths or approximate maths as obviously only Google know.
What is the possible relevance and traffic discounts Google will apply ....
I do realise there are lost of other factors but nevertheless is the maths I am using correct or not !!!
Please can someone clarify
BASICALLY HOW DO YOU CALCULATE LINK VALUE FOR DIFFERENT KINDS OF LINKS AND METRICS?
ps they index well via Blogger method so not worried re non indexing issue
pps yes I REALLY get it the importance of diversity, relevance, link speed growth and traffic issues but never the less the maths I have shown is still too flattering surely.................
ppps in my head I assume Google attaches a huge discount factor if link or page link is on has no traffic ..is that correct.........
