Understanding Backlinks' Strength

Hi, I have a quick question about backlinks. I understand how backlinks' strength are determined by a site's DA, placement of backlink, ******** vs nofollow, etc.. But are specific categories also stronger because of their categories?

For example, are editorial backlinks stronger because they ARE editorial backlinks or because they adhere better to criteria I just spelled out (in the body of the site, often near the top)? Same thing with comment backlinks? Are they weak because they're comment backlinks or because they're near the bottom of a page and often have to share outbound backlink juice with tons of other comment backlinks?

The best links are contextually relevant (surrounded by relevant content), editorially placed (naturally added by the webmaster, not bought with $$$ - and can't be replicated by your competitor's) and ideally above the fold (people are more likely to click).

The other factor is the trust and authority of the placement domain (people use metrics like DA/DR for this)

Footer/sidebar/blog roll links etc. all carry much less weight than the above.

Lifetime of any backlink depends on the will of the site owner it was placed on. You can't do anything in this case.
But relevance of backlink matters. I believe relevant backlink always good one.

I can name several factors of good backlink:
- Website DR/ DR (by the way IDK which one is better)
- Page/website relevance
- Content
- Sometimes other like: region, traffic, RD, spam level

Editorial Backlinks are strong because in those backlinks they have high amount of traffic and also it focus on one specific link and also its a promotional article.
