Does anyone know of devious Wikipedia editing methods, such as any programs that generate new accounts, make automatic bot-edits (that are helpful) and log on to each account by proxy? I believe this would be a great method for generating trust within the community, which could then be used to make personal edits or SEO edits for clients.

Also, any sort of underground Wikipedia editing communities or editing gangs, where we back up each other's edits would be very useful. If anyone knows of such a thing, or is otherwise willing to help start one, let me know.

It is not that hard to edit a wiki and get a link. I have placed some links in the past and it was quite easy. Setup a new account and first make some legit edits for 2-3 days. Then try it

Good advice regarding links. I've also tried editing criticism out of client's wiki pages, as well as trying to whitewash pages for their entire industry but have run into problems there with multiple editors reverting your work, chasing you away, banning you. There's got to be an easier way...
