Unapproved Adsense account and YouTube

1. Click Start on the “Sign up for Google AdSense” card.
   • If you already have an AdSense account, use the one that's already approved. You can link as many of your channels as you want to a single AdSense account.
   • If you don't have an AdSense account, you can create one by following the on-screen instructions.

All the YouTube pages say do not create a new Adsense account. It states:

Make sure you only have 1 AdSense account. As part of the application process, you’ll need to connect an AdSense account to get paid.

Now the problem I have is I have a disapproved Adsense account I wanted to apply for a website and I got: Valuable inventory: Scraped content

So my question is: Do I use this account when eligible for YouTube, or do I create a new one through YouTube as they state to use one thats already approved.

Since it was not approved, I don't consider you as one who has an adsense account. I would advise that you open another one, when prompted to do so, after you get to monetization stage. Just make changes to account details and use a different browser
