Unable to rank wordpress website on Google

Hello,

I am very new to SEO and ranking websites on Google. My website is not even indexed and I don't no the reason. It basically does not appear on Google searched no matter how specifically I search for it or one of the posts that are published on the website. I am using wordpress btw. Can anybody advise me on this? Am I missing something very basic, like a plugin I should install on wordpress to index my website for example? Or are wordpress websites indexed on Google by default and I am doing something wrong with the content and keywords?

Check on archive.org if the domain was abused before by someone else. I have a domain which is stuck in a similar condition thanks to the abuse done by the previous owner.

What do you mean by abused though? How can I classify a domain as abused based on the findings of archive.org?

Used for one of the following.
-Webspam
-Shady link building schemes
-Part of a PBN previously

And similar stuff.
 
Check if your WordPress site is set to allow google to index it, and try using a simple SEO plugin like Yoast SEO to help you optimize your content and submit your sitemap to Google.

How long have you managed your site?

Have you try to submit your site into Google Search Console?
 
i can andvise u on it.

there may be many factors, but without knowing ur website its hard to tell.

maybe u re not i the search console. maybe u have a .de domain-ending that wants to rank in south africa.

maybe z have ur robot txt file on no follow no index.

the nr. of reasons is long.

It is not too late ... just find something else to do. SEO is a myth and there is no future in it.
 
I would say there are two things, either your website has no sitemap or has bad structure or you didn't submit your website to google search console.
 
type "site:yourdomain.com" if you see your domain its indexed - finding your articles or page on organic search is a different topic ... to rank on the organic search even if its on the 50th site you need backlinks, on page seo ..
 
You must always ensure that your website is indexed by Google. If your website isn't indexed, it won't appear in search results.

Did you submit your website on Google search console (gsc) in order to index?
 
I have 4 websites, previously performed better. But now all are down. What can I do to up these?
