Unable to drive traffic in time!

I just created a new app togheter with my friend.

the app is a chatroulette like, where you can meet strangers cam to cam, even if it's not a clone of chtroulette because the idea is quite different.

I already spent a lot of money on google and fb ads, and people is responding well, and many comes and starts trying it.

So what's the problem?

The big problem (quite embarassed now), is that ads drives people at different times on the site, so that if you go on site you turn on the cam and you can't see anybody for seconds or just few people, and then you leave

Do you have any suggestion on how to continue promoting?

I ask about it because ads are very expensive and, actually, i am not so sure if they will work for this kind of websites.

Social media is my recommendation. Get on twitter and start onboarding people, grinding every minute. Soon you'll build up a big enough base that the customers will do it for you.
